Head of Circulation

The Hudson Library and Historical Society is looking for a Head of Circulation who is responsible for the supervision and management of the Circulation Department and the Brewster Café. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating an active department to meet the needs and wants of the general population for the community.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Any library coursework is a plus.
• 3-5 years of strong library circulation experience with progressive levels of responsibility. Fundamental knowledge of an Integrated Automation system, including all circulation functions.
• Proven track record in directing and supervising the work of others, and experience establishing and maintaining effective, positive working relationships.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments, outside vendors, and the public.
• Demonstrated project management skills, organizational capabilities, and the ability to work well under pressure while handling multiple projects.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time (38 hrs/week) position with full benefits and a starting salary of $58,000.
